AI Receptionist
A friendly AI voice that picks up your phone when you can't, answers the questions you get asked twenty times a week, books people in, and texts you the details the moment the call ends.
What it does
Nights, weekends, public holidays, and while you're up a ladder. It never puts anyone on hold and it's never engaged.
Your hours, your prices, whether you service their suburb, how long a job takes, whether you're taking new customers. Trained on your business, not generic waffle.
Connects to your calendar, offers the times you're actually free, and puts the booking straight in. No double bookings, no back-and-forth texting.
Name, number, what they want, how urgent it is. Not "someone rang about a thing" — the actual details you need to call them back.
A text and an email after every single call, with a short summary and the caller's number. You can read it between jobs in ten seconds.
If someone needs you specifically, or it's an emergency, it can transfer the call or tell them exactly when you'll ring back.
Live demo
This is the real thing, not a recording. Ask it what I charge, whether I work in your suburb, or ask it to book you a call. Try to trip it up, honestly — that's the best way to judge whether it's good enough for your customers.
Ready when you are
Your browser will ask for microphone access — that's how it hears you. Nothing is stored from this demo beyond what Vapi needs to run the call, and you can hang up at any time.
Rather not use your microphone? Call 0400 000 000 and the same assistant will answer.
Who it suits
Any business where the phone rings while your hands are full.
You're on the tools, in a roof cavity, or driving. Every missed call is a quote that went to someone else. It answers, gets the job details, and books the quote.
The counter is three deep and the phone's ringing about catering or opening hours. It handles the simple ones so your staff can serve the people in front of them.
Bookings, changes and cancellations, taken while you've got your hands in someone's hair. Fewer no-shows because it can confirm and reschedule.
Appointment bookings and rescheduling out of hours, plus a clear message for anything clinical that needs a real person.
Quotes for a specific address, regular or one-off, and the details captured properly the first time.
If you're a one-person business, this is the closest thing to hiring a receptionist without hiring a receptionist.
Pricing
Setup, from
$890
Then $149 per month. Cancel any time.
The monthly fee covers the service and normal call volumes. Very high volumes cost a bit more — I'll tell you upfront if I think that's you, rather than surprising you on an invoice.
You keep your number. Calls can go to the receptionist all the time, or only after it rings out to you for a few seconds, whichever you prefer.
No lock-in contract. If it's not pulling its weight, turn it off.
Questions
If they ask, it tells them — and I'd push back hard on any setup that lies about it. Most people don't mind at all once their question gets answered at 8pm on a Sunday.
It's built to say "I'm not sure, I'll get Aryan to call you back" rather than guess. Anything it can't answer becomes a message with the caller's details, sent to you straight away.
No. Your existing number gets forwarded, either always or only when you don't pick up. Takes a few minutes with your phone provider and I'll talk you through it.
Calls are transcribed so you get a summary, and the assistant says so at the start of the call. You decide how long anything is kept. See the privacy policy.
Usually a few days. Most of that is me writing what it should say and you checking you're happy with it.
Fifteen minutes on the phone and I'll tell you whether this is worth it for your business. If it isn't, I'll say so.
